ERIFEOLUWA AWOLUSI

BRIEF HISTORY

Erifeoluwa Awolusi was born on April 25, 2007, in Arizona. His journey in football began after relocating to Texas, where his passion for the sport was ignited upon joining a local team. From an early age, Erife demonstrated a remarkable drive to excel, always striving to score goals—whether on the pitch or during practice at home.

Inspired by his father’s own soccer career, Erife immersed himself in the sport, observing matches and learning from more experienced players. This foundation helped shape his understanding of the game and fueled his ambition to continually improve.

Erife’s development took him through various academies, each contributing to his growth both as an athlete and as an individual. His journey reached a pivotal point when he trained with F.C. Malaga City in Spain. Surrounded by talented, like-minded players, Erife’s commitment to becoming the best version of himself only intensified.

ABOUT HIM

While Erife is still refining his playing style, he is confident in his preferred position as a striker. His passion for scoring remains at the heart of his game—making runs, linking up with teammates, and, at times, creating goal opportunities for others. Erife currently trains with Sport Clube de Rio Tinto in Portugal. He participates in friendly matches, where he continues to build on his goal-scoring record—an experience he fondly recalls as one of his best memories in Porto.

Through IFD, Erife has come to appreciate the importance of the finer details that can elevate a player’s performance. Beyond technical skills, his most valuable lesson has been learning to open up, overcome his natural shyness, and forge strong connections with his teammates—whom he now considers “another big family.” For Erife, communication on and off the field is just as vital as the game itself.
