Interview with Rui Pires
Q: How did you know IFT?
RP: I met IFT through social networks, by the videos of the training they offer!
Q: How do you characterize the methodology found?
RP: I found a way to train differently than I usually work. Training focused on me, exactly what I needed to improve, being a mixture of technical and tactical details of my position that I needed to work on and my intensity. The fact that Francisco's intervention is very dynamic and rigorous also helps the performance of training.
Q: What, for you, are the benefits for players with this type of training?
RP: Having the opportunity to work individually in which we are less strong is good for any player who likes to evolve.
Q: What was the impact on your individual performance?
RP: The exercises are very short-spaced, very concentrating and thinking as quickly as possible, which develops plenty of aspects for any player.
Q: How do you characterize the type of coach's intervention?
RP: The fact that we have a coach to look at everything we do, trying to correct us constantly is very good for the evolution of any player.
Q: What aspects of your game have you experienced improvements?
RP: It depends on player to player what I want to improve, as far as I'm sure, I've felt a lot of improvements in decision-making, ability to think faster and perform faster.
Q: Would you recommend this type of work to your colleagues and friends?
RP: Yes, no doubt I recommend it to any player, for those who want to improve individual aspects I think training is a great help and make us improve whenever we train at IFT.
