LEONARDO OLIVEIRA
BRIEF HISTORY
Leonardo started playing football when he was 5 in IFK Österåker where his father was the coach. Later he moved to IFK Stocksund for some time after he got scouted by AIK and joined their 05 team.
In 2017 he moved to Porto, Portugal and started to work with IFT. At 12 years of age he joined FC Porto until 2021 when he chose to make a change. Joining FC Famalicão U17 was an excellent decision as his playing time and development have taken off.
He has been selected by the Portuguese national team once, and the Swedish national team twice. Quoting Leonardo "I basically went from a nobody, to a guy who made his debut in the national team, ended top scorer in the league, scored a goal against Portugal in the Euros and helped my team to league success" all within one year! He now plays for the FC Famalicão U23 team at the age of 17.
ABOUT HIM
He is a naturally gifted striker who likes to make deep movements into the box. Strong and fast he is very good at holding up the play with his back to goal where he can turn defenders or bring his midfielders / wingers into the attacking third. Clever movement with pace and strength are his key attributes. Leonardo is a very exciting prospect that we are continuing to develop.
